Esther and Johan’s Journey of Love and Community
Esther and Johan are not just the founders of Rose Academy—they are parents to seven incredible children, for whom their world revolves. Their family’s love and dedication are the heart and soul of everything they do. The youngest two, their adopted daughters, are the reason why Rose Academy and the other academies they’ve created exist. Their journey as a traveling family, always seeking new experiences, led them to realize just how important it was to give their girls a stable, nurturing foundation—and that’s when their dream of Rose Academy began to take shape.
After years of moving from place to place, Esther and Johan decided to plant their roots in Hua Hin, a place that spoke to them both personally and as a family. Esther, with her deep passion for helping others, had been offering life coaching in Hua Hin for three years. It was during this time she saw a real need for more support in the community, particularly in the field of mental health. Her desire to grow and uplift the people around her became a driving force, and soon, her focus shifted to the children in Hua Hin—those who, like her own daughters, needed a loving and supportive space to grow and learn.
Rose Academy was born out of this love and vision. Esther and Johan wanted to create a place where children could receive a new kind of education, one that blends flexibility and self-direction with compassion and care. They knew all too well how essential it is to lay the right foundation for little ones because it shapes the rest of their lives. With this belief in mind, they decided to open a WeLearn franchise as well—a space where parents could feel confident that their children were being taken care of in a warm, nurturing environment.
For Esther and Johan, Rose Academy is much more than a school. It’s a reflection of their love for their daughters and their passion for growing a community that supports every child’s unique journey. They understand the challenges of being a traveling family, of needing flexibility in education, and of the importance of a learning environment that empowers children to direct their own paths while receiving the guidance and support they need.
